Decomposed Granite:

Our decomposed granite mix is a popular choice when a more natural look is desired. It consists of a mix of materials finer than 1/2-inch. It is purposely mixed relatively coarse which makes it ideal for trails and walking areas. Much of the rock in the decomposed granite mix is decomposed granite and there is not a high percentage of crushed rock in the mix. As a result, it is a more natural-looking product when placed on trails and walkways than our screened rock. Due to the fact that the decomposed granite mix is coarse it doesn't pack as well as our roadbase or sand products, although some compaction can be expected. In addition to placement on trails and walkways, our decomposed granite mix is also a popular choice for landscaped areas.
